📖✝️BIBLE BLESSING✝️📖 Our 6th graders received their Bibles today. Thank you, Fr. Jared, for blessing these Holy Bibles after today’s Mass and reminding all of us of the importance and glory of the Word of God.

✝️North Campus celebrated their first Mass of the school year this morning with a special Mass of the Holy Spirit, led by Fr. Jared and the faculty. We are so blessed to come together each week in His name. We are SDJCA.✝️

📚Library Time for Kindergarten📚

Historians at work! Today in Social Studies, 7th graders read 1st and 2nd century Roman and Jewish documents on Jesus, John the Baptist, and James, the first Bishop of Jerusalem.

3rd grade had such a great first week! Onto a brilliant school year!

4th grade used their laptops for the first time to research in Language Arts. 💻

5th Grade having fun learning about MATTER and the power of the egg.

Kindergarten forming the letters of their name with Play-Doh on the second day of school!

First Grade practiced cooperative learning and problem solving while exploring STEM bins during centers today.

4th grade is ready for an AMAZING year!

The SDJCA Pheonix Cross Country team started off the 2026 season by competing vs Oak Prairie, Homer Glen, and Minooka Jr High. Each Pheonix ran extremely hard, but none harder than Brody Levy who finished in 1st place for the 5th/6th grade race!!! The 7th/8th Grade boys were led by Liam Heinrich finishing 32nd and the 7th/8th Grade girls were led by Claire Ranney's 23rd place finish. Special thanks to our principal and biggest fan, Mr. Newton, for coming to support the team.

First grade had a great first day!

5th Grade is off to a great start! They are very excited about "The Lemonade Wars," we hope everyone will come out to support them in October.

One last hug before you go!! Do you have 1st day pictures to share? Send them our way: photos@sdjacademy.org

FIRST DAY, SDJCA!!! ✔️ Lots of happy faces. Such a great start to the year! Who are we?!?…PHOENIX! What do we do?…RISE TOGETHER! Today’s positive thought on North Campus by Santiago: “If the sun rises up in the morning, then why can't you, too?.” Thanks for the great connection to our theme! Don’t forget to come back tomorrow!

Our SDJCA extended family just grew by 2! 👶🏻👶🏼 Mr. & Mrs. Cervantes welcomed baby girl Camille Lucia on July 28th!🩷 Our tech guru, Jeff and his wife, Joanna, welcomed baby boy Joshua Elie on August 11th!🩵 Welcome, little blessings! May God bless you and your families with love, joy, and faith as you begin this beautiful journey together. ✝️ Congratulations to all!

RISE TOGETHER Stronger, Kinder, Smarter! Thank you to our Knights of Columbus, Phoenix Athletics, Parents Committee, SDJCA faculty and Staff for the team effort in making tonight's Meat and Greet a wonderful kick-off to a great year ahead! We are SDJCA.
