Student of the Month Program

By creating a Student of the Month Program, Saints Dennis and Joseph Catholic Academy celebrates individual achievement by sustaining a culture of learning that not only values academic success but elevates awareness of student contributions to our Catholic identity.  The program is designed so that any student in our school, regardless of academic ability, can receive the award.  However, students who are nominated should prove they value their education by exhibiting academic responsibility and curiosity.  They are also expected to demonstrate excellent behavior in and out of the classroom.

This award is given to one student from each grade level who has demonstrated outstanding character, respect for others, a Christian attitude, and active involvement in the SDJCA community during that particular month. Students are nominated by faculty and staff at the beginning of the following month.

• Significant achievement/progress in the classroom

• Displays honesty and trustworthiness

• Is respectful to teachers/peers/volunteers

• Follows classroom/school rules and expectations

• Outstanding attitude

• Community service and Parish ministry involvement

• Sunday Mass attendance

• Exemplary character

• Shows Christ-like characteristics
