SDJCA 8th graders and parents volunteered on Saturday at the Greater Chicago Food Depository. They were part of a group that packed 2,430 lbs of food, that will be enough servings for 1,219 households!
Getting those service hours in and helping those in need. The kids worked so hard, and did this with smiles on their faces!! 💜

1st grade earned their first squishmallow/ stuffy Friday. They had reading and cozy cuddling time in the library and stem building fun in the classroom. Students adopted their special reading buddy for the year. A contract was signed promising to read to the friend each night. It was an amazing week!

Yesterday in a Salem Witch Trials activity, 8th Grade students played the Dot Game to see how quickly fear and suspicion can spread through a community. Just like in 1692, accusations often outweighed evidence. Little did they know, no one was guilty!
