We’re off to a fantastic start in second grade! Today, the students were introduced to key areas of our curriculum: phonics, math, science, and reading.
In phonics, they used chalk to write the names of animals featuring both the long and short vowel sounds. In math, we began building a classroom train while practicing counting by tens all the way to one thousand!
For science, the students headed outside to conduct an experiment exploring our local landscapes. And in reading, they were introduced to phonics games and our fun reading comprehension cubes.
Second grade is off to an amazing start-I’m so proud of all their hard work!
